A Year of Unexpected Miracles

God has allowed us to exceed every objective set just one year ago. MTS’ greatest assets are our people. The men and women who serve in paid and voluntary roles as trainers, pastors, facilitators, chaplains, and mentors. Because of their hard work this past year, in Africa alone, 578,000 people were given accessible trauma care, and over 23,000 came to saving faith in Christ. In partnership with Indigenous Bible Collage (IBC) the MTS Native Workbook was published and launched, a first of its kind healing curriculum for 500+ native tribes across North America.

Together we are laying a legacy of love; your prayers and financial support are watering the roots of perseverance in those carrying the message of Jesus’ healing love.

Let us rejoice in God’s faithfulness and press forward with His supernatural strength summoned in the secret place of prayer. The best is yet to come!

“He who calls you is faithful; surely He will do it!”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:24

The best explanation for this kind of kingdom fruit comes from a story recently shared with us by Katavo, one of our Africa directors living in Goma. Pastor Murara is a faithful pillar of MTS Congo. He is one of our best trainers, working in the “triangle of death” of North Kivu. Katavo writes:

“Pastor Murara is a faithful pillar of MTS Congo. He walks slow but walks sure with a strength not born of muscle, but of mission. Murara suffers from a severe deformity to his legs. While living with daily pain, he is always—always, I repeat—always present. Rain or sun, joy or delay.

Just last Tuesday, I found him perched on a simple stool outside the radio station. His eyes scanned every road, every corner from which his Princess Found (prostituted young women) group might appear. The meeting was set for 8:00 a.m. By 10:00, still no one had come. I tried, gently, to reason with him, but his reply was calm, resolute: ‘They will come, brother. Even at noon—I will be here to wait.’

What patience! A patience I confess I do not always possess. To Murara, these Princess Found members are not just attendees, they are precious. To him, and far more, to God our Father. And indeed, around noon, they came. And what a meeting it was; full of warmth, of Word, and wonder.”

In a word, Pastor Murara is faithful, faithful to God and faithful to the hopeless, forgotten, hurting men and women he is delighted to serve. We are convinced that God has chosen to bless MTS so abundantly because of our faithful staff, volunteers, and partners.

Together we are laying a legacy of love; your prayers and financial support are watering the roots of perseverance in those carrying the message of Jesus’ healing love.
