| PRAISE & PRAYER
- Please pray for us as we finalize the editing of the Kids’ Embrace Bible, working alongside a dedicated team of writers and illustrators. Pray also for God’s provision of the funds needed to print 4,000 copies, so that many children may access God’s Word in a meaningful way.
- In February, we will host a session for trauma survivors alongside a training program for caregivers in Goma. We praise the Lord for His faithful provision so far and ask for prayer as the preparation process continues, that all details may come together smoothly and effectively.
- Since November, we have been building a Bible study movement involving 500 youth from the DRC “Triangle of Death.” Please pray that God will ignite a deep hunger for the Bread of Life among these emerging young leaders and establish them firmly in His Word.
- We give thanks to the Lord for Chaplain Esaie Watengya, a Religious Education teacher in one of the largest school complexes in Goma, who is prayerfully considering a transition into full-time chaplaincy. Please pray that he may be inspired, strengthened, and fully equipped for this new calling and approach.
- We praise the Lord for the opportunity to teach “By His Wounds” and “Children, Our Treasure” as part of the Children and Youth Ministries Course to 35 higher-level students at the Baptist College of Theology and Mission in March 2026. Please pray for effective study, deep understanding, and full assimilation of the material throughout the preparation period and until completion.
- In January 2026, a Christian library and a public counseling center will open in Goma to serve those in need of care and support. MTS Goma, with its experienced and compassionate caregivers, is committed to giving its very best to ensure the success of this initiative. Please pray for the thousands of people who will find healing, help, and hope through these services.

| PRAYER & PRAISE
- We give thanks to God for His faithful protection throughout 2025, rescuing us through many challenges. We pray that He may bless our families with spiritual and physical health, guide our primary field of ministry—Himbi High School—through the leading of the Holy Spirit, and make this ministry a source of blessing to many. May the Lord protect our children, families, city, and schools, grant us His peace, and fulfill His promise in Jeremiah 30:17: “I will restore you to health and heal your wounds.”
- We praise the Lord for 18 years of trauma-informed, redemptive chaplaincy ministry at Himbi High School, one of the largest schools in Goma, where thousands of students have been nurtured in faith and cared for holistically. During the final term of 2025, approximately 400 students committed their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and are now being discipled. We also thank God for the healing of many students and their parents from war-induced trauma.
- After a difficult term marked by fear and trauma due to repeated nighttime intrusions into our home, the family has now relocated to a more secure residence. We are deeply grateful to faithful friends of MTS for their prayers and financial support toward our safety, and we glorify the Lord for such Gospel fellowship and love within the Body of Christ.
- We express sincere gratitude to the MTS leadership for the trust they have placed in Mama Daphrose by entrusting the responsibility of MTS Director of Trauma-Informed GRATIA Chaplaincy, Adolescents, and Women’s Ministries. All glory be to God for His calling, equipping, and grace.
- We praise the Lord for the rapid expansion of the trauma-informed GRATIA chaplaincy vision: 1) Approximately 200 schools have already pioneered the model. 2) The National Synod, representing 95 Protestant denominations, has adopted a resolution calling for all 28,000 Protestant schools to embrace this vision.
- We pray earnestly for a national breakthrough, faithful implementation, and lasting transformation across the country as the National Coordinator of the Protestant schools strive to execute the resolution and the MTS team prepares the necessary training for chaplains.
