“Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name.
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven."

~the Gospel writers, quoting Jesus

Heavenly Father, we come to you on behalf of our brothers and sisters, vessels of your healing power around the world...

 PRAISE & PRAYER

  • Lord, we thank You for the ministry of healing groups in MTS Goma, now in its second month since beginning in February. We praise You for the mighty transformations taking place in 39 groups among more than 300 survivors—young students, women, men, and even the deaf-mute. Truly, Your healing grace is at work among them!

  • Father, while we celebrate these precious trophies of transformation, we acknowledge the heavy price paid by 32 caregiving facilitators who suffer from secondary trauma. We honor the devotion of these 32 brave heroes who serve faithfully, and we pray for Your Holy Spirit to strengthen, comfort, and sustain them.

  • Lord, we commit to You the 6 short-term projects ahead. We ask for Your wisdom, provision, and guidance in every step, that these initiatives may bring lasting healing and hope.
    • The BHW intensive seminars and the training of healing group facilitators in Kiwanja, Idjwi, Goma, Bukavu, and Uvira.
    • Specialized sign language training for hundreds of deaf-mutes in these five places.
    • The training of 100 chaplains.
    • The drawing of the Kids’ Embrace Bible.
    • The preparation of a youth BHW curriculum.
    • The launch of 50 trauma‑informed Bible study group facilitators who will nurture 500 adolescent emerging leaders in the Triangle of Death in Eastern DRC

PRAISE

  • His blessing on the radio outreach programs and in the hearts of the listeners. He gives courage and readiness to listen and testify to God’s working hand.
  • His work in the PLPF training that went on at Oicha. God gave strength to the facilitators and their assistants during the training.
  • His leading hand in the preparations for the Uganda/Ndama summit. God is preparing the members and leaders for this upcoming summit.
  • God’s comfort in the gathering at our home on Monday, the 30th March, after the passing of Jeannette’s mother.

PRAYER

  • For the ongoing monthly radio outreach programs, and audience, for courage and readiness to listen as well as sensitivity to testify to God’s working hand.
  • As God is leading us in the preparations for the Uganda/Ndama  summit, we are praying for the members who will be traveling, their families, to be kept healthy and blessed.
  • We are praying for stability in our region, safety, and health in our families.

PRAISE

  • We thank the Lord for the completion of training in war surgery, the financial and material costs of which were covered by MTS. This training enabled us to equip our entire medical team at the hospital and strengthen the nursing teams' capacity for post-osteosynthesis care following war surgery.
  • Out of the 25 wounded received during the month, all were treated at our facility; we did not transfer any patients. All of this is thanks to this training.
  • From a security standpoint, we are experiencing complete stability. The population is beginning to access their fields without fear of the ADF, as the ADF is no longer visible.
  • From the perspective of providing psychosocial support to our patients, we meet with them every morning and share our experiences of healing internal wounds. We use the Five Hearts model and the Father's Love Letter in our sessions.

PRAYER

  • Let us pray for the youth who are currently turning to drugs; recently, cases of mental health issues have increased.
  • Let us also pray for the Ndama Summit program scheduled for May 4th, that God may intervene in all aspects (organizational, logistical, etc.)
  • Let us also pray for those who are providing the resources; may God bless their work.

PRAISE & PRAYER

  • Pray for peace and reconciliation to be established in the North Kivu region.
  • Pray for the success of the Ndama summits and the safety of participants' travels.

Context for next set of prayer requests: The Pygmies of Tandandale, an indigenous community living in the tropical rainforest of North Kivu, face challenges such as food insecurity, forced displacement, marginalization, violence, and exploitation. They are primarily hunter-gatherers who live in straw huts, but their traditional way of life is threatened by deforestation, armed conflicts, and forced displacement.

  • Pray that the Pygmies will be protected from violence and forced displacement.
  • Pray that they will have access to food, clean water, healthcare, and education.
  • Pray that the Pygmies will be able to preserve their lands and natural resources.
  • Pray that the Pygmies will be recognized and integrated into Congolese society.

PRAISE

  • We are grateful to God for the ongoing preparations for the two summits that will be hosted at TFL.

PRAYER

  • Please join us in prayer this month as we gather for our summits, and pray for participants as they travel from different places that God keeps them safe, protects their families, watches over their homes, and guards them throughout every journey.
  • Also, pray for the facilitators that God guides them clearly, strengthens them in wisdom and understanding, and helps them lead with grace and power.

PRAISE

  • Many Native American Edition books have been sold which shows that the ministry within Indigenous communities is growing.

PRAYER

  • Pray for rest for our facilitators over the summer and for direction on the fall training schedule.

Titus & Stephanie Folden

MTS Regional Coordinator for Latin America and Europe

PRAISE

  • We thank the Lord for a new “Explora” course being taught at Casa de Fe Church in Guayaquil, and for a new trainer who has joined the teaching team, Pastor Natalya Roman.
  • Praise God for two abuse prevention trainings using MTS resources that Stephanie and I taught together over the past week here in Barcelona—one at our local church and another at IBSTE seminary.

PRAYER

  • Please pray for us as we travel to southern Spain this coming weekend to visit with a couple of pastors who are involved with MTS trainings. Pray that we would be an encouragement to them.
  • Please also lift up the foster care program in Ecuador, which uses MTS resources as its base curriculum, including Explora and Caring for the Vulnerable Child. Pray for the growth of its multidisciplinary team, that the Lord would bring together the right people—those with a heart for children and the necessary skill sets—for this program to flourish and become a catalyst for transforming an entire generation in the country.

 THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!
