| PRAISE
- We praise the Lord for the eleven vulnerable mothers who have received support from the MTS Hope-Giving Benevolence Fund and have now launched their Income Generating Activities. Let us pray for wise stewardship, fruitful productivity, lasting durability, and an increase in the benevolence fund so that many more waiting families may be blessed.
- Our thirty-nine healing groups, nurturing more than three hundred survivors with By His Wounds, have now completed six months of teaching—what a remarkable impact! We praise the Lord for His healing grace and for these trophies of transformation.
- We praise the Lord for the new program we have launched—the Congo Rehab Initiative for those struggling with addiction. Since July, we have conducted two healing crusades around a barbecue (the next is due on Sept.11), reaching more than five hundred youths with the Gospel, and a dozen have already begun the detoxification program. Let us stand alongside the steering committee, led by Pastor Sam Kasereka, offering our prayerful support as they continue to shape the vision for this vital, much-needed, and transformative healing ministry.
PRAYER
- On September 1st, a new school year begins. By faith, we claim the salvation of ten thousand students this year, the empowerment of one hundred school chaplains, and the academic success of hundreds of thousands—because youth are the lifeblood of the nation and the fire of the country. Preparations have already begun; let us bathe every step in prayer, for the challenges ahead are great.
- We praise the Lord for fifteen master trainers who have volunteered this year to teach By His Wounds, Children Our Treasure, and To Heal or Harm: Scripture’s Use as Poison or Medicine for Abuse Survivors at several sites among very needy people. We ask the Holy Spirit to grant them wisdom as they are trained, equipped, and challenged this month in preparation for their annual assignments.
