Princess Lost & Found Resources
4-part Curriculum - NOW Available!
The Princess Lost resources were designed with sexually exploited girls and their caregivers in mind. This unique four part resource includes Princess Lost: The Story of Our Daughters, a beautifully illustrated fairytale about a young girl who is born into a magical kingdom and then experiences the damaging effects of early childhood abuse and sexual exploitation. It is a story of darkness and light, of despair and hope, and the healing journey of a pursuing love that not only saves her life, but equips her to bring the same kind of help to other lost children. Included in the book is a music CD with 18 original healing songs. The music is ethereal - a language of its own with the power to heal that reverberates with the passion known only by survivors. Princess Found: A Guide for Mentors of Sexually Exploited Girls, integrates the voices of survivors, social-science research, and a theology of healing, to direct and guide advocates and caregivers in the compassionate and holistic care of exploited girls — enabling healing within relationship. Included in the twelve chapters are creative and artistic exercises that sensitively guide both mentor and survivor through the critical process of trauma integration. The Princess Lost Journal creatively prompts a survivor in feeling and expressing her story, articulating both her pain and redemption.
For the first time in my life, I feel like someone understands the abuse and healing that I have experienced. Now, I have the tools to walk with others down a path of restoration. I have never been able to adequately explain my personal restoration process from victim of sex trafficking to conqueror in Christ. Through Mending the Soul/Princess Lost, I have the tools needed to articulate my healing and walk with others to a life of freedom.
Jessica Richardson, Survivor of Sex Trafficking
The Princess Lost/Princess Found curriculum offers an accessible, beautifully written resource for mentors to walk with survivors of commercial sexual exploitation through the pain of their past into hope for their future. With its engaging illustrations and prose, Princess Lost invites the reader to use the story of a young princess to reflect on the inner experience of being lost and thoughtfully consider the joy in being found. The accompanying guide for mentors, Princess Found, artfully weaves current research, theory and Scripture in such a way that will prepare mentors to serve survivors with great patience, respect, and love. Princess Found continually points us back to our divine mandate: to love in Jesus name, affirming in each survivor her original design as a beloved daughter of the King.
