Policies and Procedures

We understand how difficult it can be to know how to respond when you are faced with the disclosure of abuse in your home, church, or community. Our sample policies and procedures page has many resources to equip individuals and organizations for writing policies and putting procedures in place.

Sample: Church Policy on Abuse

Having a church policy on abuse is the first step in being prepared to minister to the many in your congregation that have been abused and/or are currently being abused. The attached sample is a very thorough church policy on abuse written by Kate Johnson from CCADA.org. We believe it is a great resource for churches to use when writing their own policy on abuse.

Domestic Violence Response Flow Chart

Having a source to reference at a moments notice is always helpful. This flowchart can be copied and distributed to each employee and or worker who needs to be equipped to support and/or help someone who discloses domestic violence. This flow chart has been adapted from the “Practice Guidelines: A consultative document for Churches, circuits and districts when working within the issue of Domestic Abuse.”
